General information

Ciclopirox is a synthetic antifungal agent. It is approved for medical use and sold under many brand names worldwide. It is used for the topical dermatologic treatment of mycoses, mainly against Tinea versicolor. Ciclopirox also shows antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. In relation to cystic fibrosis, our AIM tool found the data that ciclopirox can help correct F508del-CFTR by altering the cell transcriptome.
