General information
Epigallocatechin gallate is a phenolic antioxidant found in a number of plants such as green and black tea. It inhibits cellular oxidation and prevents free radical damage to cells. It is used in many dietary supplements and studied as a potential cancer chemopreventive agent. In relation to cystic fibrosis, our AIM tool found the data that epigallocatechin gallate can help improve CFTR function in patients with F508del-CFTR mutation.
