How it helps

Restore CFTR Function

General information

Caveolin 2 is a protein naturally present in our cells, not available as a human pharmaceutical. It is present in the plasma membrane and involved in essential cellular functions, such as signaling, growth, and death of the cell. It is also a potential tumor suppressor. In relation to cystic fibrosis, our AIM tool found the data that caveolin 2 can correct F508del-CFTR by enhancing its maturation and cell surface expression.
